Two main motives bring people to Israel / Jordan / Sinai study tours. The first motive applies to people with a historical approach and the second to people with a social–political approach.

Our region is situated on the South-Eastern shore of the Mediterranean; It is the meeting point between Africa, and Asia and lies in direct proximity to Southern Europe. (See map- in flash site) Due to its special geographical position it became throughout history the meeting point of many cultural influences and destined it to an extremely tempestuous and violent history. The region has been invaded, conquered and ruled by a great number of tribes and nations, each one in turn leaving its mark on the region.
Between the 10'th Cent. B.C. and the 6'th Cent. A.D. the region became the cradle of monotheism, first in Judaism, later in its Christian form and in the 7'th century in the Moslem format.

On a historically oriented study tour you will be able to visit Roman, Greek, Pharonic, Mesopotmian, Byzatine, Moslem and Jewish sites (to mention just a few); All within very short distances from each other. You will also see the meeting points, and the clashes, between the three large monastic religions throughout history.

Not less important and not less interesting is the present time complex. Many people come to the region to look at it as a laboratory for historical processes, political problems and social issues.

Almost every subject that might interest a person with social and political thought finds its representation in this region. The Israeli Palestinian conflict, the integration and the conflicts among the variety of ethnic communities, the meeting between the Islamic world and the western world; the problems of an Arab minority in a Jewish majority society; the co-existence of the Bedouin society and the Palestinian society in Jordan; the process of transformation from nomadic society to settlers society among the Bedouin in Israel, in Jordan and in the Sinai and many more.
