Gadi
Sternbach |
| Co-manager, S.K. Tours in Nature. |
Born and raised in Jerusalem, Gadi studied Geology at the Hebrew
University of Jerusalem. After several years in a Kibbutz, as a
shepherd, he started exploring the Sinai Peninsula, a rather unknown
land at that time.
From the early 1970’s Gadi started collecting any piece of
information about the Sinai both from scientific sources and from
Bedouin friends and became, as he is known among the Sinai guides
and researchers, ''a walking encyclopedia'' of the region.
After several years of guiding, mainly German speaking groups,
Gadi focused his attention on trekking tours in the Sinai mountains
and was the first guide who developed the camel trekking routes
in the High Mountain range of the Sinai and later in Eastern Sinai.
Today Gadi lives with his wife and his two children in Giv’at
Yesha’ayahu, a village near Jerusalem, and divides his time
between operating tours, growing a vineyard and producing wine.
