The spirit of S.K. Tours in Nature has developed in the terrain of the Sinai.
During the 1970’s, we, the founders of the company, were among the first to explore and develop the trekking routes in the High Mountain range of the Sinai. Several years later, in the 1980’s, we developed the routes in the sand stone region of Eastern Sinai.
In the 1990’s we expanded our operation out of the Sinai and developed the Around Petra Trek in Jordan.

We have established a system of trekking tours based on the tradition and abilities of the local Bedouin population and on the practical know how and theoretical knowledge of the best trekking guides. This system has been operating for 30 years and has gained an excellent reputation for well-planned, safe and professional trekking tours.

Many hundreds of trekkers who have enjoyed an exceptional experience on these special and yet relatively unknown treks are the witnesses of the magnificence of these regions and the professionalism of the trekking system.
Based on the 30 years of experience in trekking tours and desert tours we expanded our activity in 1997 to tailor made pilgrimage tours, nature tours and study tours in the triangle of Israel, Jordan and the Sinai.

Company Principles

As nature lovers and Sinai explorers, we developed the company’s philosophy and principles while guiding numerous trekking groups.

The company runs trekking tours that merge into the balanced desert ecology.

Our trekking tours and our operational system are based on the strong bond between the company and the Bedouins. The Bedouin camel drivers, mountain guides, cooks and storekeeper, some of whom have worked with us for over a generation, make their living while maintaining their traditional way of life.

We enable our groups to experience a close, real life, meeting with the Bedouins and their traditions.

We base our work on intimate knowledge of the mountain passes and the desert.

We consider trekking and desert tourism a serious profession.

We invest in planning and designing the tailor made tour that fits the specific group and its aims.

We are obliged to our customer’s safety and we have a long record of safe treks behind us.

Our dedicated, highly professional team is committed to professional guiding and to the well being of the group and the individual in the group.

We give first priority to liability and credibility in the relations with our customers.

We share our love for the region with the groups and offer them our knowledge of its history, its geology, its flora and fauna and its inhabitants.

Our Clients

Among our clients you can find travel agents, trekking organizations, community centers, religious organizations, groups of friends, groups of nature lovers and many more. Many of them come on a second and a third trek (or tour) after tasting the first one.
We are proud to have operated the trekking tours of the German Alpine Club (DAV Summit Club) in the Sinai and in Jordan for many years and are also proud to serve as the operators of the Austrian Alpine Club (OeAV) in our region.
